Gambling Mad with Norman Chad Episode 1

Norman Chad is “Gambling Mad.” One part Jim Cramer from “Mad Money” and one part Howard Beale from “Network,” Chad maniacally and masterfully surveys gambling, sports and America.

Characteristic of a career marked by persistent underachievement, Norman Chad has been the “color commentator” on ESPN’s World Series of Poker since 2003, receiving the American Poker Awards’ “lifetime achievement honor” in 2018. He also has been America’s only nationally syndicated sports columnist – first with his NFL picks column and then with his Couch Slouch humor column – appearing in The Washington Post, Chicago Sun-Times and 20 other newspapers since 1995, a feat diminished by the fact no one reads newspapers anymore. Previously, Mr. Chad held several prominent positions: Columnist at The Washington Post, The National sports daily and Sports Illustrated; co-host of ESPN’s Reel Classics and substitute co-host and guest on ESPN’s Pardon The Interruption; studio commentator on TNT’s NFL studio show and humor essayist on CNBC Great Stuff.
